Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is an upcoming post-apocalyptic action adventure film co-produced and directed by George Miller and Nico Lathouris. It is a spin-off and prequel to Mad Max Fury Road (2015), featuring Anya Taylor-Joy as Imperator and Chris Hemsworth as the main character.
Miller conducted casting auditions for the film Furiosa in March 2020. Taylor-joy, Hemsworth, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen-II were cast in October, but Abdul-Mateen was replaced by Tom Burke in November due to a scheduling conflict. Fury Road crew members returned for the film, and the principal [hotography took place in Australia from June to October 2022. Produced by Warner Bros. Furiosa, Produced by Village Roadshow Pictures, it is set to premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on 15th May 2024 and will be released in Australia and the United States.
Storyline Of Furiosa
The movie Fury Road follows young Furiosa, who is taken from the Green Place of Many Mothers and taken by a Biker Horde led by Warlord Dementus. They encounter the Citadel, presided over by The Immortan Joe, and must survive numerous trials to find her way home. The movie is set in the aftermath of the world’s fall and follows Furiosa’s attempts to return to Green Place, her only real home. It appears to depict how she was ripped away from paradise and her initial plans to return.

Premise
As the world crumbles in Mad Max: Fury Road, set 15 to 20 years before the events of the film, young Furiosa is abducted from the Green Place of Many Mothers and given up to a Biker Horde under the command of the Warlord Dementus. Furiosa endures several hardships as she schemes to get home via the Wasteland, all the while two Tyrants struggle for control of the Citadel.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Released Date
Furiosa is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on 15 May 2024, followed by a theatrical release in Australia on 23 May 2024 and the United States on 24 May 2024, originally set for release on 23 June 2023.

The first trailer for Furiosa, released on November 30, 2023, features a young girl taken from her family five years after the collapse. The trailer showcases images of the Wasteland and tricked-out cars familiar to fans of Fury Road. The plot remains to be seen, but the trailer leans into action, suggesting a lot in common with the original film, as Furiosa is set to return to her family.
